Lyrical

Lyrical derives heavily from ballet and is essentially, a more modernized version of classical ballet which uses songs with vocals. Lyrical classes may also include some jazz technique, but what makes lyrical so special is that it directly interprets the vocals of music. Lyrical can be emotionally moving both to watch and perform.

Jazz

Jazz is a technical style involving faster, more upbeat music and movements. Jazz builds strong leaps, turns, and overall dance technique using more stylized movements than a traditional ballet class. Jazz is known to be fun and carefree.

Musical Theater

Musical theater style dance has a foundation in jazz and character technique and is seen in theater productions everywhere. Musical theater classes will improve one's overall technique and acting abilities as well as broaden one's knowledge of dance steps and vocabulary. This program involves both acting and dancing.

Acro Dance

Acro dance is a challenging dance style based on basic gymnastics. In this class, dancers will learn skills such as variations of handstands, cartwheels, chest and elbow stands, walkovers, and much more depending on their skill level and readiness. These skills will be incorported into fun and challenging choreography.

Believe Performing Company

Believe Performing Company is a program designed for dancers who are interested in performing at local events throughout the season in addition to Nutcracker and the annual recital. This is not a competition team; this is something far better! The vision for this program is to work with a group of passionate dancers who want to share their love for dance with the community and help others experience God’s great love through their performances. These dancers perform all around Central Florida throughout the entirety of the dance season.

Enrollment in a minimum two additional, weekly hours of dance training with Believe Ballet and Barre is required in addition to enrollment in the weekly rehearsal. At least one hour of the two must be a classical ballet class. Weekend availability for performances outside the studio is required. This company is for intermediate and advanced level dancers ages 8-18 who are ready for choreography that is more fast-paced and challenging. Teacher recommendation or approval is required to join.

Fitness and Barre

Barre fitness classes involve a mixture of a ballet barre workout, Pilates style movements, and plyometrics. Modifications are available to suit every fitness level and will improve one's strength, posture, cardiovascular health, flexibility, and more! This program is perfect for those who want to improve their overall health and fitness without building the "bulk" associated with traditional weight training. Our barre fitness classes are available to adults ages 18+, although some classes are also available to our intermediate and advanced dancers who wish to build additional strength and flexibility.

Believe Ballet Birthday Parties!

Our 90 minute birthday parties include a dance class for all party guests taught by Ms. Kasey as the Sugar Plum Fairy, a short, in-studio showcase for parents in attendance, and time for cake and presents! Make your birthday girl feel like a real ballerina for her next birthday!
